My State Senator Richard Cohen, of SD64 has been in the state legislature since 1977, making him the Jim Oberstar of the State Senate. During this year's campaign with challenger Tony Hernandez the biggest reason he could provide voters for his re-election was his status as Chair of the Senate Finance Committee.
With the DFL losing control of the Senate for the first time...ever, how will Sen. Cohen adjust to being the ranking minority member on that committee? I'm sure the office isn't nearly as nice as the Chair's office.
